Key to the development of Signature Leather equestrian products is our attention to detail from a riders perspective. In this regard our design team are privileged to be able to call upon the expertise of our Far East based spokesperson Jennifer Chang and whose hands on review of each Signature glove style appears on our product pages.
American-born but a permanent resident of Hong Kong, Jennifer currently keeps her competition horses in Kuala Lumpur. Her main focus each year is the Southeast Asian (SEA) League series of F.E.I. World Cup jumping qualifiers held in Malaysia during the summer months. In 2007 she finished the series of ten qualifiers in 4th place overall with her horse, "Luc Skywalker", after becoming Hong Kong's only rider ever to win a World Cup Jumping qualifier (in August 2007).
In 2008, she completed the series as the 2nd highest placed SEA League rider, with her horse "Luxor". In so doing she became the first Hong Kong rider ever to be awarded an invitation to the World Cup Jumping Finals. She will have to pass on the prestigious event in April 2009 in Las Vegas as she is expecting a baby around the same time, but we hope to see her continue along that trajectory by winning the 2009 qualifying series to secure an invitation to the 2010 World Cup Jumping Finals in Geneva, Switzerland alongside the world's top jumping competitors. She is also keen to represent Hong Kong at the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou, China.
This is what Jennifer has to say about Signature gloves:
"Every time I put on a new pair of Signature gloves, my first thought is that they are just too beautiful and refined for the torture that they will undoubtedly endure. Time and again, however, my favourite gloves continue to amaze me by how well they hold up to both my horses and to nature's elements.
Riding stronger horses I need the confidence of a solid grip of the reins, and with softer horses I need a glove that permits a really close contact feel. All of the Signature glove styles provide both of these benefits and the remarkably soft leather is incredibly durable. I've been trying hard, but to date am unable to wear a pair out!"
We invite our equestrian friends to follow Jennifer's progress towards the 2010 Rolex FEI World Cup Finals and Asian Games via her website: www.jenniferchanghk.com
We wish to thank our customers and friends who took time out to visit us under the blue skies of Rolex 2009! We were thrilled with our customer feedback which highlighted the durability and close contact attributes our glove styling provides equestrians across a variety of disciplines.
There was also a great deal of interest shown in the fashion glove samples we brought with us this year. In response to this we are now planning to present our complete fashion collection at Rolex 2010 providing our customers with an oppportunity to order fashion gloves as well as equestrian gloves in their own unique custom color combinations!
