Where to buy » Maryland Saddlery
Maryland Saddlery was born in the mid-1980s, when Hope Birsh was teaching riding to young children at McDonogh School, a preparatory school near Baltimore. During this period two things struck her: First how difficult it was for her students to find riding clothing and equipment. Second, after shopping locally, how inappropriately dressed they would appear at her lessons.
With this in mind, when Hope opened Maryland Saddlery in 1989, she vowed to also carry the most extensive selection of hard-to-find pony equipment, children's apparel and accessories available anywhere. Today, Maryland Saddlery has become a destination store both online and in person. They also have a full time Saddler on staff. Ridgely Davis specializes in fine custom bridlework and saddle repairs.
The website, www.MarylandSaddlery.com replaced the store's mail order/catalogue division. The website only has a sampling of the items available in the store so customers are encouraged to call (800) 428-5077 so that we may shop for them. Customers are also invited to e-mail all questions to mdsaddle@aol.com.
