The Orinda Village Horse Shop

The Orinda Village Horse Shop opened in April 1995 in response to a need for more convenient access to equestrian necessities for the California Bay Area.  We enjoy providing everything for the horse and rider, making riding accessible to everyone.  In addition to the basics (tack, supplies, apparel), we also carry books, jewelry and other gifts so that everyone, whether they ride or not, can enjoy horses. 

The shop offers unbeatable service, and we take pride in the fact that over the years we have provided staff with an expertise in one or more areas of riding.  These experienced riders are able to offer information and decision support for riders who are just starting out and those perfecting their skills.  Our staff is happy to assist you with any of your equestrian needs. Whether outfitting your child for horse camp, replenishing your stock of grooming supplies or gearing up for a show, we can offer practical advice gleaned from our own use of products and equipment.

The Orinda Village Horse Shop is centrally located in the East San Francisco Bay area. We are a short drive from most Contra Costa, Alameda, and San Francisco county locations, as well as a ten minute walk from the Orinda BART. Parking is plentiful, and Orinda is also host to many fine shops and restaurants. Stop by and check out our new larger location!
